Schezwan Cheese Fries

French Fries has been a favorite snack for all ages of people. Every time we go to Mcdonald's, my kids are surely gonna order this. 

During this covid time, when all shops, restaurants are closed, how will you satisfy those cravings?  

Yes, making them at home is more easier and hygienic as well. During this tough time, we all should take care of us and our family. And when everyone are at home, we should make delicious dishes and serve them to enjoy this phase as well.

Well, i usually make the salty fries at home on most of the weekends. But this time, i gave a slight twist and made this yummy, creamy and spicy cheese fries. You can absolutely omit schezwan sauce, if your kids dont like spicy fries. But the addition of Schezwan takes this recipe to the next level. 

The creamy taste of these fries is really unforgettable.

The fries can be made with potato, cheese, white sauce and schezwan sauce. You can alter the recipe as per your needs. Try out this simple and quick snack recipe and post your comments, pictures.

Cooking Time: 35 minutes
Serving: 3


  • 2 large size potatoes
  • Schezwan sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese/cheese cubes/slices
  •  Oregano
  • Oil for frying


  1. Wash and peel the potatoes.
  2. Cut them into wedges. 
  3. Put the potato wedges in salty water for 5 minutes.
  4. After 5 minutes, take them out and pat dry with kitchen towel. 
  5. The drier, the better.
  6. Heat oil for deep frying.
  7. Put the wedges in oil and deep fry till  slight golden.
  8. Fry from both the sides.
  9. Take out and put on tissue paper to absorb excess oil.
  10. Put cheese slices. If you are using cheese cubes, grate them over the fries.
  11. If you are using cheese spread, spread over the slices.
  12. Keep the plate in microwave for few seconds till the cheese melts.
  13. Now spread salt, oregano and red chilli powder.
  14. Spread schezwan sauce.
  15. Serve hot Schezwan Cheese Fries with Schezwan Chutney.
