Bombay Halwa

Cooking Time: 45 Minutes



  1. Add sugar and 1 cup water in a pan. 
  2. Keep stirring on low flame till sugar gets dissolves. 
  3. Add lemon juice when all the sugar gets dissolved.
  4. Add food color to the sugar syrup. Mix well.
  5. In a bowl, add corn flour and 2 cup water. 
  6. Mix well to make a smooth paste. Avoid any lumps.
  7. Add this paste to the boiling sugar syrup. 
  8. Stir continuously. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
  9. Soon the mixture will start getting thicken.
  10. Add 1 tsp ghee to it. Keep stirring till the ghee get well combined. 
  11. Repeat the process to add 5 tsp ghee. 
  12. Mixture should become transparent and rubbery in texture.
  13. After adding all the ghee, stir for 5 minutes. 
  14. Grease a plate and pour the mixture.
  15. Press gently and allow it to cool completely. 
  16. Sprinkle dry fruits and cut into pieces.
  17. Badami Halwa is ready to serve.
