7 Cup Vadi

We usually make besan ladoos on any occasion, this time i present you something different. This 7 cup vadi is something you can make easily and with minimum ingredients. 

Cooking Time: 45 Minutes


  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup freshly grated coconut
  • 3 cup sugar 
  • Cardamom powder


  1. Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan and roast flour. 
  2. Keep stirring the besan to prevent burning. 
  3. After some time, the color of besan starts changing to darker with a slight aroma. 
  4. Add grated coconut, milk, cardamom powder and ghee to the besan.
  5. Keep stirring the mixture. 
  6. Add 3 cup sugar to the mixture. Mix well.  
  7. Keep stirring till the mixture leaves the pan.
  8. Grease a plate and pour the mixture.
  9. Spread the mixture evenly in the plate.
  10. Cut in your favouite shape. 
  11. Decorate with sliced dry fruits.
  12. Serve or store in an air tight container.
