Prawns Koliwada

Crunchy and spicy dry prawns koliwada tastes awesome and mainly use as a starter or appetizer dish. 

Perfect starter during rainy season.

Cooking Time: 30 Minutes


  • 15 to 20 Prawns
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
  • 3 tbsp Gram Flour
  • Oil
  • Salt


  1. Peel, de vein and wash thoroughly.  Pat them dry. 
  2. Marinate with lemon juice, salt, red chili powder and ginger garlic paste.
  3. Cover and rest for 20 minutes.
  4. Drain excess water before adding other ingredients.
  5. Combine marinated prawns,gram flour,rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder,ginger-garlic paste, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well.
  6. Heat the oil in pan.
  7. Once the oil is hot, slowly drop the prawns in oil.
  8. Deep fry until golden-brown.
  9. Sprinkle chaat masala over them
  10. Prawns Koliwada ready to serve.
  11. Serve hot with green chutney.
