Sukat Bhaji

You must have tried tawa sukat. Here something different I want to show you.

Bhaji/pakora can be made with onion, potato or even chicken and fish. Here I have tried making it with dried fish, sukat.

Very simple and tasty. Lets us try how to make easy sukat bhaji at home in less time.

Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
Serving: 4 - 5

  • 3 Onion (sliced)
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger & Garlic, Crushed
  • 1 Cup Dried Shrimp, Soaked
  • Gram Flour
  • Oil for Frying
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves, Chopped
  1. Combine onion, red chili powder, asafoetida, turmeric powder,  crushed ginger and garlic, coriander leaves, sukat, and a little bit of salt as the sukat is already salty.
  2. Mix them properly with hands.
  3. Add gram flour slowly and start kneading it.
  4. It should be a little thin.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Once the oil is hot enough, drop bhaji mixture in a small amount.
  7. Deep fry till crispy and golden brown.
  8. Sukat Bhaji is ready to serve.
  9. Serve with Tomato Ketchup.
