Poha Cutlet

A very quick and easy, kids friendly recipe. The main ingredients are poha (beaten rice and mashed potatoes).

You can try the variations by combining different vegetables, paneer or corn. You can even put this cutlet in bread or sandwich will simply becomes burger or tikki sandwich.

The crispy and crunchy texture will be ideal to serve at tea time.

  1. Combine mashed potatoes and soaked poha, onion, coriander leaves, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder, garam masala, raw mango powder, raisins, and salt. Mix it finely.
  2. Take some portion of the mixture and flatten with palm by gently pressing.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Deep fry the cutlets till golden brown.
  5. Poha cutlets ready to serve.
  6. Serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
