Moong Dal Pakode

Crunchy and tasty Pakora made with Moong Dal. Its very easy to make and quick.

In India, any type Pakora is a favorite tea time snack. During rain, we make sure to make these spicy and hot pakoras. I personally love Onion, Potato pakoras and i used to make it frequently during rainy season.

Serve it with tea, Green chutney or Tomato Ketchup. Kids will love, adults will enjoy.

Let's see the steps in making Moong Dal Pakora/ Moong Dal Bhaji at home

Cooking Time: 30 Minutes
Servings : 5 - 6

  1. Combine moong dal and green chili and grind to a smooth paste.
  2. Take out the paste in a large bowl.
  3. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, onion, salt and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Once the oil is hot enough, drop lemon size portions of the bhaji mixture into the oil.
  6. Fry them by stirring on medium flame until golden and crisp.
  7. Remove on tissue paper to absorb extra oil.
  8. Fry rest of the pakora in batches.
  9. Serve Moond Dal Pakora with Green Chutney or Tomato Ketchup.
