Egg Patties

Boiled eggs covered with potato and semolina/bread crumbs mixture. The crispy, spicy combination will surely turn your evening into a party.

  1. Heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil. Once the oil is hot enough, add red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, ginger-garlic paste and coriander leaves.
  2. Saute for couple of minutes.
  3. Add mashed potatoes and salt. Mix well.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
  5. Heat oil for deep frying.
  6. Make small balls of the potato mixture and flattened round.
  7. Put the half portion of boiled egg at the center of the potato mixture and seal the open edge.
  8. Coat the potato-egg patties in raw egg and dip in breadcrumbs.
  9. Coat evenly.
  10. Drop the patties gently in hot oil and fry till golden brown.
  11. Serve egg patties with tomato ketchup.
Apply some green chutney to the potato puri before you place the boiled egg.
