Egg Fingers

Egg fingers can be the most quick and easiest snack you can make at home for kids. They are surely love it just like our last recipe Egg Patties

It can be served at tea time or with any sauce you like.

Soft from inside and crunchy from outside.

Cooking Time: 40 Minutes
Serving: 4 - 5

1 Onion,  chopped
1/4 cup Coriander Leaves(optional)
1 tsp Chilli Powder
2 tbsp Corn Flour

  1. Crack eggs in a bowl. Whisk them.
  2. Add in onion, chili powder, coriander leaves and salt. Stir well.
  3. Grease a cake tin with oil and pour the egg mixture.
  4. Heat 1 glass of water in a pan and place a stand in the center of the pan.
  5. Put the cake tin on the stand and steam like we do for dhokla or Idli.
  6. On high flame, cook the egg mixture for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Turn the gas off and let the mixture cool down.
  8. Once cool, demould it by scratching from the edges with knife.
  9. Cut the cooked egg mixture in parallel pieces and take the out in a plate.
  10. To make the batter, combine refined flour, corn flour, salt and 1/4 cup water.
  11. Make a smooth, semi- thick paste.
  12. Dip the egg pieces in the flour batter then coat evenly in bread crumbs.
  13. Egg pieces are ready to fry.
  14. Heat oil in a pan and drop the coated egg pieces once the oil is hot enough.
  15. Fry the pieces till golden brown.
  16. Egg fingers are ready to serve.
  17. Serve with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
