Dahi Puri

I am a big fan of Dahi Puri. Actually, I love all the Chaat types. But nowadays, it's not hygienic to eating outside. During this lockdown, you even won't get any Chaat shop open. And you are craving for Chaat. What will you do then?

Simple, give it a try at home. All the ingredients are easily available at any shop.

The spicy, tangy, sour, and sweet taste of this yummy Dahi Puri floats in the mouth for a long. You will just need the tamarind and green chili chutney, curd, potato, finely chopped onion, and tomatoes (Optional) and sev. Spices you can use red chili powder, chaat masala, salt, pepper powder.

Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

  • 8 Puri (I had raw puris which I deep fried)
  • 1/2 cup potato, boiled and cubed
  • 2 - 3 tsp Green Chili-Coriander Chutney
  • 2 - 3 tsp Tamarind Chutney
  • 1/2 cup Tomato, Finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 2 tsp Red Chili powder
  • 2 tsp Chaat Masala
  • Salt, to taste
  • Coriander, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Sev
  • 1/2 cup Curd, chilled
  1.  Add sugar and a pinch of salt in curd. Beat till fluffy. 
  2. Break the puris in the center and arrange it in a plate.
  3. Fill the potato cubes at the center of puri.
  4. On top of that, add chopped onion, tomato. 
  5. Pour tamarind chutney, green chutney over it. Adjust the quantity as per your taste.
  6. Add whisked curd. 
  7. Sprinkle red chili powder, salt, chaat masala. 
  8. Add sev on top. 
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  10. Serve a plate of Dahi Puri
