Aalo Fry | Potato Fry

Who doesn't love potatoes? I am sure, all of you love potatoes in any version. Be it vegetable, stuffed, curry, it tastes awesome.

This spicy fried potato is surely a treat. When you do not have any side dish and only dal-rice, you can quickly make this and enjoy your meal. You just need to fry cubed potatoes, then sprinkle some red chili powder and salt and ready to serve.

Let's learn this quick and easy Aalo fry recipe.

Cooking Time: 15 Minutes
Servings : 4

  • 4 Potato, medium-sized
  • Curry leaves
  • 8 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt, as required
  • a pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  1. Wash and peel potatoes. 
  2. Cut them into cubes
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add curry leaves and turmeric powder. Fry for a minute.
  4. Add cubed potatoes and fry for  3 - 4 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Fry them till golden brown from all the sides.
  6. Add red chili powder and garam masala. Saute for 2 - 3 minutes.
  7. Add salt and mix well. 
  8. Serve spicy Aalo fry with rice and dal.
