Paneer Khoya Gulab Jamun

New year is coming and everyone is looking some new dish to try on the special night. Sharing Paneer-Khoya/Mawa Gulab Jamun recipe.

Gulab Jamun is prepared on almost any occasion even in weddings as well. To make these delicious dessert all you  need is panner, khoya and sugar. Fill the center with dry fruits and this will go on to the next step. I am sure its a mouth-melting dish.

Cooking Time : 50 Minutes
Servings : 20 - 30
Ingredients :
  • 200 gm Paneer
  • 100 gm Khoya/Mawa
  • 25 gm maida
  • 1/4 tsp cooking soda
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 200 gm sugar
  • water as needed
  • Ghee/oil for deep frying
  • Cashews, Pistachios, chopped for stuffing (Optional)
Recipe :
  1. In a plate, add paneer, khoya, soda and maida. 
  2. Add little water/milk.
  3. Knead to a smooth dough.
  4. Cover and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into small lemon size balls.
  6. In another bowl, add chopped cashews and pistachios. 
  7. Take one lemon size ball. Fill in chopped cashews and pistachios at the center and close it very carefully. 
  8. Roll it to a smooth ball.
  9. In another pan, add sugar and water. 
  10. Heat the mixture till sugar gets dissolved completely. Add cardamom powder.
  11. Make one string consistency syrup.
  12. Keep it aside. 
  13. In a pan, heath oil. Once the oil is hot enough, lower the flame and start sliding the stuffed balls one by one. 
  14. Fry till golden brown.
  15. Repeat the step till all the Gulab Jamun gets fried.
  16. Put the hot Jamun in sugar syrup.
  17. Add rose essence and cover it for 2 hours before you serve.
