Masala Biscuits

Christmas Special Masala Biscuits

Cooking Time : 1 hour

Ingredients :
  • 2 cup all purpose flour (maida)
  • 1/3 cup butter,softened
  • 2 tsp yoghurt
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 curry leaves springs, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • salt, to taste
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetoda (hing)
Recipe :
  1. Combine all the above ingredients in a large bowl and knead to a smooth dough. 
  2. Keep the dough in fridge with a cover on it for 30 minutes.
  3. Now take the large ball out of the dough and roll it on a lightly floured surface to 2mm thickness.
  4. Use a cookie cutter to make desired shapes of cookies. 
  5. Grease a baking dish and place the cookies on it. Preheat the oven 325 degrees F
  6. Bake the cookies till golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. 
  7. Store them in an air tight container.
  8. Enjoy the masala cookies with hot tea.
