Khare Shankarpali

Khare Shankarpale for Diwali.

Cooking Time : 1 to 1:30 hours
Recipe for 1 kg Shankarpali

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg Maida/All purpose flour
  • 100 gm ghee
  • 4 tsp jeera/Cumin seeds
  • Salt, to taste
  • Oil/ghee, for frying
  • Water as required
Recipe :
  1. Heat ghee in a pan. 
  2. Take maida in a bowl. And add hot ghee, salt and jeera to it. Mix well.
  3. Add water as required to make a stiff dough.
  4. Cover it and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  5. Roll it into a chapati and cut into square or diamond shape.
  6. Heat oil/ghee in a kadai. Fry till golden brown. 
  7. Keep the shankarpale in an air tight container.
