Rava Coconut Ladoo

Ladoo is one of the favorite dish made during any festival, especially Diwali. With the rich flavor of roasted rava, saffron, dry fruits and coconut nobody can resist it !

Learn how to make Rava (Suji) - Coconut Ladoo in few easy steps.
  • 1/2 kg Rava (Suji, Semolina)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 cup freshly grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup dryfruits, finely chopped
  • a pinch of saffron strands
  • 3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup water
Recipe :
  1. Heat a thick bottom pan, and heat ghee in it. Roast dry fruits till light golden brown. Transfer to a plate
  2. Now in the same ghee, roast rava till golden brown.
  3. Make two parts of the roasted rava and add milk to that. Again roast for few minutes.
  4. Add coconut to it, mix well and roast again. Transfer to a plate.
  5. Put a kadhai on the flame and pour water in it. Add sugar to it. Add saffron strands
  6. Stir continuously till sugar melts into syrup. Cook until it becomes thick and 2 string consistency.
  7. Add rava - coconut mixture, cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  8. Allow it to cool naturally.
  9. Take small mixture into your palm and make small ladoos.
  10. Arrange in a plate and serve.
  11. Or keep them into air tight container to enjoy them later.
