Badshahi Ladoo



Read Badshahi Ladoo in Marathi
Cooking Time : 50 - 60 minutes

Servings : 25 - 30 ladoos


Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg chana dal
  • 3/4 kg sugar
  • 1/2 coconut, grated
  • 1/4 kg ghee
  • Almond sliced
  • Saffron Strands
  • Cardamom powder
Recipe :
  1. Soak Chana dal for 4 hours, drain excess water and grind in a mixer. 
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the mixture till golden brown. 
  3. Add 2 cup water in sugar and make sugar syrup of two string consistency. 
  4. Add chana dal mixture in that. 
  5. Add sliced dry fruits, cardamom powder to it and stir.  
  6. Roast grated coconut and add it to the above mixture. 
  7. Stir occasionally till the mixture becomes thick.
  8. Take small amount of the mixture on the palm and make small ladoo.
  9. Repeat the process for the entire mixture.
  10. Remove in a plate and serve.
  11. Or keep them in an air-tight container and enjoy later.
Tip:
  • Add roasted khava/mava to the mixture.
  • or add mashed peda to the mixture.
Addition of mava/peda will taste more yummy.
