Malai Chicken

After Ganapati Festival, most of us has already started eating non-veg. For all those chicken lovers - the recipe is specially for them. Easy, tasty with the flavor of malai this chicken recipe with nan or roti will definitely be a winning meal !

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg chicken
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 2 cup milk
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp ginger, chopped
  • Bunch of coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 3 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • saffron, few strands
  • chopped almonds, cashew nuts
  • salt, to taste
Dry spices :
  • 2 to 3 Green Cardamoms
  • 1 cinnamon
  • 2 to 4 Cloves
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3 to 4 Kali mirch
  • 1 piece mace
Recipe :
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste,salt and white pepper powder. Mix well and keep it for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Put all the dry spices ingredients in a mixie and make powder.
  3. Put a pan on the medium flame and add onions, green chillies and cream and cook till it the onions become softer.
  4. Now add the marinated chicken and saute.
  5. Add chopped ginger, dry ginger, coriander leaves, white pepper powder, kasoori methi, powdered garam masala, and few saffron strands. Fry on medium heat.
  6. Saute and cook for 10 minutes. If needed, add little water while cooking.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves, almonds and cashew nuts. 
  8. Serve hot with nan or steam rice.
