Jeera (Cumin) Biscuits

We frequently brought Jeera biscuits from bakery. The sweet and jeera taste of biscuit is amazing. I love having this biscuit in Tea in the morning or evening. Its very easy and fast bakery style recipe. Share and recommend Cumin Biscuits recipe.

  • 2 cup All purpose flour
  • 125 gram butter
  • 125 gram cheese
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp cumin (Jeera)
  • 1 egg white
  • pepper
  • salt to taste
  1. Combine flour, salt and pepper and sift it.
  2. Cut the cheese with knife into small pieces. Now add butter and cheese pieces into flour mixture. And add cumin seeds.
  3. Now add egg yolk and little water. Mix well. 
  4. Knead dough with fingers and add water when necessary.
  5. Put the dough in a plastic bag and keep it in fridge for 1/2 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough to desired thickness.
  7. Cut with biscuit cutter. Press Jeera (cumin) on top.
  8. Apply some egg white over the biscuit. 
  9. Preheat oven to 375 D. 
  10. Apply ghee to a plate and bake the biscuit for 10 minutes.
