Mango (ambyachya) Murabba

Mango murabba can be prepared using raw mangoes, spices and sugar.  It can also be made of cherries, strawberries etc. Aam ka murabba normally eaten with roti. You can pack your kids tiffin with roti and murabba. Kids loves this sweet pickle. Mango season is going on, so hurry up and choose good raw mangoes to make mango murabba at home.

Ingredients:
  • 500 gram mango, grated
  • 1 kg sugar
  • a few saffron strands
  • cardamom
  • 2 cloves
 Recipe:
  1. Preesure cook the grated mango with a little water till you get 2 whistle.
  2. Let it cool.
  3. Combine cooked mango in 1 kg sugar and cook on low heat with enough water until sugar has dissolved. Stir continuously.
  4. Add cloves, saffron strands and cardamom. Mix well.
  5. Cool completely. Put in a dry bottle jar and store in fridge.
  6. This murabba can be store in fridge for up to 6 months.
