Khoya Roti

Sweet, hot Khoya roti with ghee tastes awesome. So why to wait? lets try today.


For Roti:

  • 3 cup roti dough
  • 1/4 cup oil
  •  1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
For Filling:
  • 2 cup khoya
  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp nutmeg or Cardamom
  • 2 tsp milk
  1. Roast khoya over medium heat until gets pinkish. Grind it in a large mixing bowl until it becomes smooth.
  2. Transfer this khoya to a large bowl and add powdered sugar and milk to it. Mix well. 
  3. Heat oil. Make it very hot. 
  4. Now add salt and hot oil to the dough and keep it for 1 1/2 hour.
  5. Take 2 small balls out of dough. Roll these two balls into small shaped puris.
  6. Place one ball of khoya stuffing at the center of one puri and cover it with another puri. Seal the edges tightly. 
  7. Spread some flour and roll gently to round roti.
  8. Heat griddle and roast roti from both the sides. 
  9. Make all the rotis like the same way.
  10. Eat by pouring ghee on the roti.
