Grape Jam

Sweet grapes are in.  Red, green, black are the varieties in them. And i am sure you dont want to miss this opportunity. So lest learn how to make grapes Jam at home easily.


Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups grapes (green or black)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water
Recipe:
  1. Clean the jam jar with hot water and let it dry completely.
  2. Heat a large saucepan and add grapes to it. Cover with enough water. 
  3. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain the juice from the seeds into a pot using strainer or with a cloth. 
  5. To get out the juice completely, crush the seeds against the sides of the strainer with the help of a spoon.
  6. Stir well and bring the juice to a rolling boil. Now add sugar and lemon juice. Stir continuously for 2-3 minutes. 
  7. Remove from heat and let it cool completely. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
  8. If you feel the jam is too watery,continue cooking and testing every 5 minutes.
  9. Once done, pour the jam in the dried jam jar. Let it cool completely before you refrigerate it.
Tip:
Use unopened, cooked jams within 1 year of making. Opened jams can be used within 3 weeks.
Store jam in cook, dry and dark place.
