Grated Potato Thalipeeth

Servings: 4-5

Ingredients:
  • 6 midium sized potato
  • 4 tp butter
  • Salt to taste
Recipe:
  1. Wash all the potatoes and grate them using thick blade.
  2. Add salt and mix well.
  3. Heat a frying pan. Add butter and swirl it around the pan as it melts.
  4. Place the salty grated potatoes on the melted butter.
  5. With a wooden stick make the potato mixture round in shape and 1 inch thick.
  6. Cook for 5 minutes or till one side cooks throughrly.
  7. After 5 minutes take out the thalipeeth in the plate.
  8. Again add some butter in the frying pan and place the thalipeeth with uncooked side on the melted butter.
  9. Cover the pan for 2-3 minutes. To make the thalipeeth crispy, do not cover the pan for last 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with curd or coriander chuteny.
Tip: You can add onion, parsley, white or black pepper or chopped red chillies to make it more tasty.
